Although, there are many bath toys you can buy for your toddler, why not teach your child how to use everyday items and learn new skills too?
1. Give them two plastic cups and show them how to pour water from one cup to another, or even use a teaspoon to fill up a cup with water to develop precision.
2. Show them how a bath sponge soaks up water and can then be squeezed out, or give them water squirters.
3. Use a metal spoon and plastic spoon and teach them about floating and sinking.
4. Use a toy watering can with a rose on the end and show your child how the water pours out of the holes. Alternatively use a straining spoon with holes or a sieve or a colander. These work in a similar way to the shower head.
5. Put some hollow plastic balls into the water and ask your child to make them sink.
