Ball games are a great way of developing maths skills.
As children learn to catch, or throw they can count the number of catches or throws they take.
They can also count toys, beads and anything that happens to be around them.
If you play board games like snakes and ladders or other games that use a dice, infants can count the number of squares their counter needs to go etc.
