The aim of this theme is to help children understand that summertime is different to the other times of the year.Because it is usually much warmer certain things happen more often, or only happen during this time, such as having ice-cold drinks, having more ice-cream, wearing lighter, thin, brighter coloured clothing, sandals and flop flops to keep cool or skirts, shorts and ‘T’ shirts.
Other things associated with summer, include holidays because theweather is hotter or warmer and the sun is out more.
Summer fruits to enjoy, more events such as: weddings, barbecues and parties to attend. Even more flowers to enjoy.
