The Aquarian is a contradiction, these are Water signs disguising themselves as Air signs. And what happens when you mix water with air? You get a storm!
These children possess all the emotional sensitivity and impulsiveness of a water sign such as Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces, and are able to read the emotions of others. Couple this with their Air qualities of intellectual thinking and abstract reasoning, and you get a highly emotional, but very smart individual.
These children crave freedom and are adventure junkies. If they cannot travel far and wide across the lands they have the power to travel to far away places in their expansive minds. However, when they are old enough to make their own decisions they will be off to backpack around the world and follow their own rules.
They need lots of activities to keep their over-active imaginations occupied. A heavy helping of books and quality education will satisfy their thirst for knowledge. If the books are about adventures in far away lands and full of suspense and intrigue then they will become real bookworms and be kept occupied for hours.
They love sports, music and dancing and anything to keep them mentally and physically active will keep them content. They are also competitive, so sports will challenge this energy.
You will need a lot of patience to deal with this character, as they hurtle from one activity to another. Having said this, they are disciplined and will follow through on whatever they put their mind to.
These kids are very sociable and use their humour to make friends easily. However, they like to keep their distance too and not get too close in order to protect their vulnerable, sensitive side. For this reason these are not your natural huggy kids. This may make them appear distant or detached, but this is not the case at all, as they have a strong empathic streak. They are protective of siblings and friends alike.
Get them a pet to cater for their nurturing side. Sticking up for the ‘little guy’ whether that be a friend, a group of friends or even themselves, they can create quite a storm, even if the adults in authority are the cause. This can result in stubborness to any situation they see as unjust.
These kids can be rebels and need to know from the start who is boss. Never insult their intelligence by treating them like a baby, it is better to treat these smart kids like a mini adult in order to get the best co-operation.
They love science fiction, make believe and experiments, so indulgence their inventions and see what they can produce. However, if you have an Aquarian in the house hide the screwdriver, as they will take everything apart to see how it works. Don’t worry they will put it all back together again – eventually.
