Ingredients
1kg Desiree potatoes
25g melted butter
1 tsp curry powder or other seasoning (e.g. jerk seasoning)
Salt and pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180C /375F /gas 6
- Wash and cut potatoes into 8 wedges.
- Boil in salted water for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, spices and salt and pepper.
- Pour out the water from the potatoes then add them to the mixture, covering them.
- Place the wedges on a greased baking tray and cook on the middle shelf for 20 minutes, turning a couple of times, until soft in the middle and crispy brown on the outside.
- Serve hot with dips or ketchup
Top Tips:
To make the wedges cut the potato in half lengthways down the middle, then into 4 wedges out of each half.
