Baguette Sandwiches

Serves 1-2    Cooking and prep time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

1 baguette (different varieties are available included seeded)

Margarine

Filling of choice:

Salad: shredded iceberg lettuce, sweetcorn, sliced/diced tomatoes, cucumber slices, diced peppers, red onion slices, sliced gherkins, olives, spring onions, grated carrot, shredded cabbage,

Cheese: grated cheese, square cheese, sliced cheese, cottage cheese and chives, cheese and cucumber

Egg: boiled sliced egg, egg mayo, egg salad

 

Chicken: Boiled shredded chicken in mayo, chicken tikka salad, chicken salad

Prawn: Prawn mayo salad

Tuna: Tuna Mayo, Tuna, lettuce and sweetcorn, tuna and cucumber

 

Method

You can create 3 types of baguette sandwiches using one baguette, depending on how you cut the baguette.

1. The full length baguette, where you cut it through the middle and add your filling.

2. Mini sandwiches where you cut the baguette into straight circular slices and put a filling between two slices.

 

3. Or you make longer, larger sandwiches like the circular ones above, but by cutting the baguette at an angle, as in garlic bread slices.
