Garlic bread

Serves 10   Cooking and prep time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

1 Part baked baguette

Garlic butter

1 tsp Chopped parsley

100g Grated cheese (optional)

 

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 190C / 180C fan/ 375F.
  2. Cut your baguette into slanted slices.
  3. Mix the parsley with the melted garlic butter
  4. Spread the garlic butter on one side of the slices.
  5. Place the garlic bread slices on a baking tray.
  6. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until golden brown.

For cheesy garlic bread

  1. Cook for only 15 minutes.
  2. Then take the baguette slices out and load up with the grated cheese on the buttered side.
  3. Return to oven and bake for a further 5 minutes to melt the cheese till golden brown.
  4. Then serve with salads, pastas and soups.

 

Top Tip:

If you do not have garlic butter, mince a fresh clove of garlic and depending on taste, add a little to the melted butter and parsley. Alternatively, add 1/4 tsp garlic powder to the plain melted butter and parsley.
