By 11 months old babies have favorite games to play and will start to create a fuss if not allowed to play them. They enjoy running the house and making their opinions own.
They will also start to test their parents’ patience. Babies can now:
• Understand when you say ‘no’ and other short, simple instructions
• They can also greet people
• Wave bye-bye
• Say ‘mama’ and ‘dada’ and other simplified names for family members
• Recognize members of their family in pictures, as well as by name and in person
• They laugh, clap hands in excitement and are fun to play with
• They can also join in with songs and games that involve actions such as ‘Twinkle twinkle little star’, ‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes etc.’
