By eight months old, babies are more mobile and also start to get much bigger. Parents therefore need to be more safety conscious as some infants are able to crawl and even walk quite well. Babies are now real explorers and will try to learn everything possible, (even by tasting things). It is therefore vitally important that keep small things are kept out of reach. Babies will now:
• Roll around the play area
• Sit unsupported
• Chew on toys as new teeth form
• Babble happily to themselves
• Start or be able to crawl
• React differently to different people.
• Be close to certain people
• Get anxious if removed from parent
• Makes specific noises or different cries for different things they want
• React to hearing their name being called
• Sleep at regular times and often through the night
