Spinach Pizza

Serves 4-6  Cooking and prep time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

1 packet of pizza base mix

2 tomatoes

4 cups of chopped fresh spinach

2 cups of Italian cheese

1/2 cup of Alfredo sauce:-

  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of double cream
  • 1 clove of crushed garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups of grated cheese (preferably parmesan or equivalent)
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

 

Method

  1. Make the Alfredo sauce by melting butter in a medium saucepan over a low heat. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the cheese and garlic, whisk to mix and stir in parsley.
  2. Set aside to cool down.
  3. Prepare the pizza base according to the packet instructions.
  4. Place dough onto a greased 12-in tin and press down to make a pizza base.
  5. Spread the Alfredo over the base, leaving an inch gap around the edge.
  6. Top with thinly sliced or chopped tomatoes, spinach and cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the crust and cheese are golden brown.
