There are a wide variety of sports youngsters can take part in from early on. Sign children up to soccer teams, swimming lessons, gymnastics, tennis, martial arts, dancing, horse riding and more.

Toddlers and preschoolers begin to master many basic movements, but are too young for most organized sports. owever, they should be encouarged to take part in activities like tumble tots which develop their:

  • Tumbling
  • Throwing
  • Catching
  • Swimming

As children get older, their skills heighten including their hand-eye co-ordination, vision, attention spans and transitional skills, such as throwing for distance. They are also better able to follow instructions.

Organized activities such as:

  • Softball or baseball
  • Running
  • Soccer
  • Gymnastics
  • Swimming
  • Tennis
  • Martial arts

are great options to keep them active.
