Star Gazing - My Childcare Hub

Learning about the sky and all that is in it is a fascinating topic for all children. By night there are the stars, moon and night sky to explore using a telescope and by day there are the clouds, rainbows and coloured skies to explore.

Teach children about the star sign they were born under by looking at the star constellation and even look for the North Star and shooting stars and the moon in the night’s sky.

Following on from this children can learn about space, rockets, about astronauts and other planets, even aliens and martians.

Use a telescope to really ignite their imaginations and stare into the night’s sky to see what you can see. Winter night’s when the days are shorter, is a great time to star gaze and wonder what lays beyond the stars.
