Singing and learning rhymes with movements are great ways to develop an infant’s language. Many infants will see this as a game, even though technically it isn’t.
To play an actual language game, you could try things like:
I spy with my little eye something beginning with the letter……C. for example which will help develop a child’s alphabet recognition skills.
Or I hear with my little ear, something that sounds like……fair, for example chair, which starts off a child’s understanding of phonics.
Anything that involves talking to them and them talking to you as well as giving your child instructions will also improve their language skills.
